A self-taught photographer, he has been taking pictures since 1951. From 1969, he worked at the publications of Lapkiadó Vállalat, retiring from Ádám magazine in 1988. Since then, he has devoted all his time to his creative work. He pursues a wide -range of genres, from portrait, through reportage, landscape and still life, to nude photography. Writings about his work, and interviews with him, appeared in almost all parts of the world. His photos can be found in private and public collections. Selected awards: Balázs Béla Prize, Artist of Merit, Kossuth Prize, Artist of the Nation award.
