Balázs Telek

PHOTOGRAPHER

1974 - 2015

He took part at more than fifty group exhibitions, and more than a dozen solo exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. In 2005 he was awarded the Balogh Rudolf Prize. His work can be considered an extension of traditional photography into space, from camera obscura works, through anamorphic photos and lenticular images, to photo-statues. He was a pioneer of the latter field even by international standards. He always concentrated on the relationship between the photo and its recipient. His works called for the viewers’ heightened attention, helping them to find their own positions in the process.
