Due to his involvement in the 1956 revolution, he had to emigrate, and earned his diploma in Stuttgart in 1965. He is a painter, graphic artist, and media artist. He lives in Berlin. Selected acknowledgements: Prix International Salon de Paris (1964), Kurzfilmwettbewerb Niedersachsen (Hannover’s special prize, 1994), Locarno Video Art Festival (2001), Hero of Liberty Memorial Medal (2006), Munkácsy Prize (2015). Recent solo exhibitions: Miskolc Gallery, Galerie Paranorm, Bonn (2014), Kévés Gallery, MET Gallery, Budapest (2015). He considers it important for his works to reveal their logic, so that we can understand every piece, its construction, playfulness, its flawless structure and the charms of contingency.
