After secondary school, he studied at the Práter Street Vocational School for photography. Later he completed the courses of the Bálint György Journalism Academy of the Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ, 1994–1995) and made a degree in communication at Szeged University (2001–2006). He worked for such press organs as Esti Hírlap, Blikk, and HVG. Between 1994–2016, he won 23 prizes at Hungarian Press Photography Competitions. He was awarded the Munkácsi Márton Prize in 1996, the Balogh Rudolf Prize in 2010, the National Cultural Fund’s creative scholarship in 2011, and the André Kertész Scholarship in 2013.
