He earned a degree at a technical university and worked as a chemist, before choosing another career. He first worked as a photographer at a design studio, and then became photo archivist at the Postal Museum. He has been a member of the Studio of Young Photographers since 1987. Ipari táj (Industrial Land, 1998), his first volume, was dedicated to industrial buildings in Budapest, set to be demolished. In 1993 he won the Pécsi József Scholarship, in 1998 the main prize of the 7th Polaroid Final Art Awards competition, and in 2007 the Balogh Rudolf Prize. His works can be found at the Hungarian Museum of Photography and several important private collections abroad
