He started to take photographs at the age of 15, and he went on to study optics, aesthetics and photography. He started to present his works at Hungarian and international exhibitions at a young age. He was an illustrator for several newspapers, before becoming a press photographer with the Hungarian Television (MTV) in 1960. He has authored, coauthored and illustrated a number of books (Rapidtechnika [Rapid Technique], Előhívott emlékeim [memories Developed]). His work has been acknowledged with several awards, including MTV’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Golden Pen of the Association of Hungarian Journalists, and the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary.
