Miklós Gulyás

He earned his diploma in photography at the Hungarian College of Applied Art in 1989. He has been making subjectively documentarian photo series since the mid-1980s. His concept usually involves a large number of photos in a series. He collected his most important works in the albums 1 másodperc (1 Second) and Hon (Fatherland). He has taught at MOME (and its predecessors) for 25 years. He has also worked at other schools, including the Camera Anima Free School and the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. He was artistic director of Fotografus.hu Foundation between 2003–2011. In 2003 he was awarded the Balogh Rudolf Prize, as well as Hungart’s scholarship.
