He studied at the Arts Grammar School in Pécs, and then completed a window dresser course in Budapest. Between 1973–1986 he designed backdrops for Pannónia Film Studio, and directed films. He is a member of the Hungarian Photographers’ Association, MKSZ, the Hungarian Filmmakers’ Association, the Hungarian Film Academy, and several artistic organizations in Hungary and abroad. Awards: Munkácsy Prize (2002), Deák Dénes Prize (2005), Megyei Príma main prize (2006), Balázs Béla Prize( 2009).
