He studied photography at the Práter Street Vocational School between 1976–1978, before becoming a photograph trainee at the weekly Kertészet és Szőlészet. He completed the press photography programme of the Bálint György Journalism Academy of the Association of Hungarian Journalists in 1983. He was a press photographer with Magyar Hírlap from 1986, and became picture editor and head of the photography section in 1993. Between 2002–2011 he was picture editor at Best Magazine, and then at 168 Óra and Figyelő. He has been a freelance press photographer since 2011.
