He started to take photographs in 1953, as a member of the Cegléd photo club. From 1957 he did military service as a press photographer. He became the stills photographer of MAFlLM in 1969. Between 1986–1995, he was the artistic and picture editor of a number of journals (Film Színház Muzsika, Reform). From 1980, he filled positions in the leadership of several trade unions. A winner of the Balázs Béla Prize, he is an Artist of Merit and an Artist of Excellence.
